Davies and the Environment
For 62 years Davies has been a green company. Not because we had to be, not for a tax write-off, or because it was trendy, but because being green is the foundation of our business. We’re remanufacturers of office furniture. Our whole business is based on the the re-use and or recylcling of products. There is no more environmentally friendly process out there.
We start with workstations, desks, files, chairs, etc. that have reached the end of their lifecycle. We strip them down to their core materials, sand off the paint, strip off the fabric skins. Next we repair each component, removing any dents, replaceing any core materials or parts that are damaged. Finally, we remanufacture each component, right back to their original standard. We repaint (using low VOC paints), relaminate desktops (using water based glues), and recover panels (using primarily recycled fabrics).
What you end up with is office furniture that is indestinguishable from new furniture, for a fraction of the cost of new.
What you’re NOT left with is a bigger landfill, HUGE amounts of wasted energy and natural resources.
