Bill Davies of Davies Office; Mark Buckley, VP Sustainability at Staples, Inc. and Jennifer Russell, PhD Candidate & Research Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology will be presenting together at Greenbuild 2017.
Their Greenbuild presentation will detail the Circular Economy in action. Offering new insight into the motivation, strategy, and tactics that will be needed to foster industry-led market transformation. As an example of circular business models and sustainable process innovation, the key leaders from Staples and Davies Office will discuss the rationale, strategy, and key implementation tenets of their partnership to bring remanufactured office furniture into the mainstream business-to-business commercial interiors market.
Supported by innovative research into sustainable manufacturing and resource efficiency led by RIT and its partners worldwide, this partnership has enabled the quantification of circular business model benefits, and has highlighted the values-based connection and interdependency between producer, distributor, and customer that will help to trigger accelerated awareness, demand and market transformation.
Through the discussion of their own vision and experience, panelists hope to inform and inspire new business model innovation and market transformation for circular economy. This session is intended for professionals with expertise in, or responsibility for office interiors, engaged in the design and procurement of office interiors, as well as facility (tenant) management.
